SRINAGAR, Oct 13 — Member of Parliament for the Anantnag–Rajouri constituency, Mian Altaf Ahmad, have expressed deep sorrow and grief over the devastating fire incident in Shahbad area in Anantnag district that swept through residential structures, leaving multiple families homeless and destroying property.
In a statement issued, while Extending his heartfelt sympathies and solidarity to the victims, Mian Altaf described the incident as deeply tragic, emphasizing that the sudden destruction of homes and livelihoods has plunged the affected families into immense hardship and distress. The Member of Parliament urged the district administration and government authorities to swiftly initiate relief and rehabilitation operations. MP Mian Altaf also demanded Urgent assessment and disbursement of compensation and a rehabilitation package to enable victims to rebuild their residential structures.
