Sakina Itoo Expresses Grief Over Sopore Medical Student’s Death, Urges Centre to Repatriate Mortal Remains from Bangladesh. In a post on social handle X, Health Minister, Sakina Itoo wrote, “Deeply saddened by the tragic demise of Adnan Ahmed Rather, a young medical student from Sopore pursuing his MBBS in Bangladesh. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family in this hour of immense grief. I urge the Union Government and the Ministry of External Affairs to urgently intervene, coordinate with the Bangladesh authorities and facilitate the earliest possible repatriation of his mortal remains to Kashmir. May the Almighty grant the family strength and patience to bear this irreparable loss. My thoughts and prayers are with them.”
