SRINAGAR, JANUARY 10:
Transport Department on today clarified that the 0.5 percent of the cost of vehicle that would be charged as a onetime contribution towards the Road Accident Victim Fund would be deducted from the existing 9% Road Tax being charged from vehicle owners.
The department clarified that no additional amount would be charged from transporters/ vehicle owners.
