Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday called on President of India Rm Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavn New Delhi after taking over the assignment to which he was appointed on August 6.
In his tweet , Sinha said that he met President but offered no other details.
Sinha was appointed as Lt. Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to succeed G C Murmu on August 6 morning . Immediately after his appointment, he flew to Delhi and took the oath next day.
This was believed to be courtesy call of Sinha to the President, during which the L G gave his first impressions of the ground situation in Kashmir and also unfolded the plans to bring peace and order in the turbulent region
