Former minister and BJP stalwart in Doda district Shakti Parihar is trailing in Gundna DDC constituency to his National Conference rival.
Parihar has secured1037 votes as against 1109 of his NC rival.
The contest is becoming interesting but Shakti Parihar trailing at the moment is not a good news for BJP that has suffered erosion in its traditional base in the Chenab Valley where BJP had won four out of six seats in the 2014 elections.
Parihar was elected from Doda as an MLA and later made minister in the PDP-BJP government.
