On the occasion of Republic day, Surjit Singh Sekhon,Dy Inspector General, has been conferred upon the President Police Medal for Distinguished Service. At present officer is commanding one of the challenging Sectors on Jammu International Border. A Total of five BSF officers have received this honour on Republic Day 2021 which is a matter of great pride.
