Ranked third in National Ranking of Sustainable Development Goals: SDG-7

Adding another illustrious feather to its crown, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, the only technical fully residential University in the UT of J&K, has been ranked at 80th position in the World in the Sustainable Development Goals: Affordable and Clean Energy category (SDG-7) of ‘Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2021. SMVDU has been ranked at 3rd position in India and is the only University/Institution from UT of Jammu and Kashmir that got ranked in the said parameter in these recent Impact Rankings.


Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021 include more than 1,500 universities across 93 countries and regions, making them the largest and most diverse university rankings to date and the list for Sustainable Development Goals: Affordable and Clean Energy category (SDG-7) includes 560 Institutions from 77 Countries.


Moreover, SMVDU has been ranked among the top 401-600 Institutions of the World out of 776 Institutions and has been ranked 23rd position in India which participated under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG-5) Category: Gender Equality of Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2021.


Prof. R.K. Sinha, Vice Chancellor of SMVDU, while congratulating the SMVDU fraternity said that quality education and world class research has always been the topmost priority of the University. Pertinently, Times Higher Education Impact Rankings are the only global performance tables that assess Universities against the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
