The Financial Year 2021-22 hits many records in Jammu and Kashmir with manifold increase in tax collections and no pendencies
The position of tax revenue collection as on 31st March 2022 in comparison to previous one is :
The overall Tax collection has been Rs.15179.42 Crores which is 25.38 % higher than last year.
i) The GST collection has been Rs.11163.95 Crores (increase of 23.77 %)
ii) The Excise collection has been Rs.1760.74 Crores (increase of 30 %)
iii) The Stamp Duty collection has been Rs.425 Crores (increase of 56.12 %)
iv) The Sales Tax on Petrol & Diesel has been 1829.73 Crores (increase of 25.33 %)
The position of pendency of bills at the Treasury is as follows:-
i) All verified bills of contractors have been cleared and paid
ii) All bills of Centrally Sponsored Schemes have been cleared – both Central share and State share
iii) No Hundis have been issued this year. In fact, all Hundis of previous years, some of which were pending for last two years, have been cleared
iv) No bills of advance drawal at the Treasury are pending as all of them have been cleared
v) All bills of salaries, treasury pensions, GP Fund and gratuity presented at the treasury have been cleared
vi) Rs.4119 Crores have been paid to JK Bank today against Rs.5573 Crores of bank pension liability which we owe to the J&K Bank
vii) Rs.810 Crores of power purchase liability has also been cleared. Rs.600 Crores of equity contribution for Kiru and Rattle Hydel Projects has also been paid.
Besides, all pending claims of projects sanctioned under JKIDFC (languishing projects) have been cleared.
