The US Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken on Wednesday congratulated newly-elected Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan and underlined that America views a “ strong , prosperous , and democratic Pakistan as essential for the interests of both of our countries.”
In a statement issued last night, Blinken expressed that Pakistan had been an important partner on wide-ranging mutual interests for nearly 75 years and US valued their relationship.
Blinken’s statement highlighted longstanding relations with Pakistan, as it read: “ Pakistan has been an important partner on wide-ranging mutual interests for nearly 75 years and we value our relationship, and then he went on to congratulate the new PM of Pakistan , “ The United States congratulates newly elected Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and we look forward to continuing our long-standing cooperation with Pakistan’s government.”
“The United States views a strong, prosperous, and democratic Pakistan as essential for the interests of both of our countries” Blinken said.
