PDP president Mehbooba Mufti who had called on Congress president Sonia Gandhi in Delhi on Monday said that it was a courtesy call .
She told JKNEWS Today on phone from Delhi that “there should be no room for any speculation as I called on her for I had not met her for a long time.”
Congress president and Mehbooba’s family have good ties since the days of late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. Sonia had specially flown to Srinagar to meet Mehbooba to condole the death of her father Mufti Sayeed in January 2016.
Mehbooba asserted no political attribution should be made to her meeting with Congress president.
