A meeting of Telephone Advisory Committee (TAC) of BSNL Business Area Jammu was held on 3rd September, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM in BSNL Bhawan at Rail Head Complex under the chairmanship of Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), Jugal Kishore Sharma. TAC Members Ayodhya Gupta, Jai Ram Sharma, Jangbir Singh, Rajinder Gupta and Dev Raj Sharma also attended the meeting. From BSNL side, detail report regarding the services being provided by BSNL and actions taken by BSNL to improve the services was presented by Principal General Manager Business Area Jammu, Ashok Kumar Angural who gave a brief note of services/telecom facilities being provided by BSNL in all the 10 districts of Jammu province.

Member of Parliament expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi ji for providing revival package to BSNL amounting to 1.64 Lakh Crores and informed the House that BSNL should work more harder to get maximum out of the provided Revival Package and to win back the trust of the Consumers. During the discussion, Member of Parliament (LS) and TAC Members discussed to improve BSNL CM-Franchisee Channel Partner Network, Improvement in Signal issues in Talab Tillo Areas, Nitco Lane Areas, Purmandal Area, Nandpur Area, Miran Sahib Area, Highway at Ban Toll Plaza, Manjakote Area, Dharamsaal Area and Kalakote area. The Hon’ble MP reviewed the progress to resolve Signal issues particularly in Kotranka and Budhal areas where general public is facing lot of Hardships to access BSNL internet services. And, MP also reviewed the sites being planned to improve BSNL signal issue from Domel to Kishanpur via Dansal-Jindrah route at certain spots, which needs immediate improvement. The 4G Expansion Plan, 4G coverage for Border out Posts and 4G Saturation project which is funded by the Government of India to cater uncovered villages as per Digital India Mission of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, were reviewed thoroughly in the said Telephone Advisory Committee Meeting of BSNL Business Area Jammu. Members requested Principal General Manager Business Area Jammu, Ashok Kumar Angural that development and planning works for further expansion of BSNL Network in remote areas and the uncatered areas should be taken up swiftly in co-ordination with all the TAC Members and TAC Members assured that all support will be provided from their side to BSNL Jammu for further expansion of Network to improve BSNL foothold in the Market. It was also requested to BSNL officials to approach all the Landline Customers for conversion to FTTH so that BSNL continues to earn revenue.

Freedom@75 plan provided by BSNL where in FTTH service is provided for 75 days at an amount of just Rs 275/- to celebrate the 75 year of Independence and the Air Fiber Service in scattered & Rural areas provided by BSNL were very much appreciated by Hon’ble MP(LS). Hon’ble MP also appreciated BSNL for launching Fibre Entry plan having Fixed Monthly Charges of just Rs 329/- to get more customers onboard to BSNL FTTH network. The Steps taken by BSNL to make processes digital and online to reduce delay were also appreciated. BSNL officials also apprised the Hon’ble MP regarding Road Shows conducted in Residency Road Area, RSPura Area, Kathua Area, Samba and Vijaypur Area, and the Hon’ble MP directed BSNL Jammu officials that more number of Road Shows should be conducted at Block Level Areas.

Other BSNL officials present in the meeting were Kush Kumar Principal General Manager (Mobile Services), Naresh Bharti, Rakesh Sharma, Pran Nath Raina, Sanjeev Kumar, Vijay Kumar Sharma, Bhavuk Anand, Chandhan Singh Panwar, Archana S. Khairkar, Rajnesh Tagger, Gurdip Singh, Vinay Khajuria, Satish S. Kale, Satyajit Sharma, Raman Sharma and Rajneesh Kumar Salgotra.
