Srinagar, May 28 Apni Party president Altaf Bukhari has got the age relaxation for the youth aspiring to appear Combined Competitive Exams in Jammu and Kashmir. The government has announced age relaxation for the CCE exams for open category candidates by three years, raising it from 32 to 35 years. Likewise the age limit for the reserved category candidates to 37 and for the specially abled to 39.
This will enable the CS candidates who had attained the age of 32 to appear in the exams . This is a big relief to the candidates who were finding themselves in a no- appear zone as the upper limit age stood at 32.
Altaf Bukhari had appealed to the LG Manoj Sinha to take cognisance of the plight of candidates above 32 years of age. He has also demanded that this age limit should be brought at par with other states and union territories.
Bukhari’s relentless campaign made the government to amend the rules and announce age relaxation.
It’s worth recalling that his petitions to the Central government, in particular to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to ensure that all jobs in J&K be given to J&K. With the abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A, the jobs were open to all- India competition , which because of the circumstances in J&K and fewer facilities , would have harmed the interests and career prospects of J&K youth.
Bukhari got the decision reversed. Now all jobs are available to the youth of J&K, including Jammu and Kashmir Administrative services.
