Jammu, November 12:
Apni Party chief Altaf Bukhari today played straight bat in Kashmir politics , saying there is no room left for illusions as the hard realities have been realised and recognised by the people.
Even as he welcomed the participation of People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration to take part in the ongoing District Development Council polls being held in J&K for the first time, Bukhari said it is good that they have realised futility of illusions in weeks whereas Sheikh Abdullah took 22 long years to recognise the reality of the utility of polls.

The PAGD that had vowed to fight until the special status of J&K would be restored and decried elections , he said, is fighting the DDC polls . “ This is a welcome step,” and should serve an eye- opener to all that chasing illusions is wastage of time and energy because at the end of day we land on hard ground .
Bukhari asked , is it possible that any party will have a majority in the Parliament and strike down the abrogation of Article 370 and restore special status and original state to J&K and its residents. “ You know the realities well ,” he told his party colleagues and workers who had gathered in Srinagar to witness the joining in of Shafiq Mir of Panchayat Conference. His joining of Apni Party demonstrates that how the party was becoming popular with its realistic approach on the issues.
Bukhari said, “ we have moved the Supreme Court for early hearing on the petitions regarding Article 370, and we will abide by whatever the verdict might be.”
Cricket bat , symbol of the party, he said, represents sportsmanship and spirit.
