Srinagar, 17 February, 2026: On the arrival of the sacred month of Ramazan, a meeting of the office bearers and members of Anjuman Auqaf Jamia Masjid Srinagar was held at the Auqaf headquarters under the chairmanship of its President Mirwaiz Dr. Molvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, to review arrangements for the holy month at the historic Jama Masjid Srinagar.
It was decided that all necessary facilities will be ensured for worshippers and visitors, particularly those coming from distant areas. Special arrangements have been finalized for Taraweeh prayers, with accomplished Qaris leading the recitation of the Holy Qur’an to make the month spiritually enriching for devotees.
The Mirwaiz directed the Anjuman office bearers and staff to ensure proper arrangements regarding electricity, water supply, cleanliness, carpets, and sound systems. The administration will also be approached to maintain uninterrupted power, improve traffic regulation, and ensure sanitation around the Jamia Masjid during Ramazan.
Members and staff assured that they will uphold the sanctity of the Jamia Masjid and perform their duties diligently so that worshippers experience a peaceful and well-organized Ramazan.
