Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad has met Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Friday as the latter started a process to reach out to the senior leaders , who are better known as G-23 .
Azad and other senior leaders of the party have been demanding collective leadership . The G-23 is opposed to the single family control of the party.
Congress is in doldrums as it has lost miserably in the recently held polls in five states.
