Aman from Bihar has grabbed the attention of netizens with his unique way of begging. Raju Patel, a beggar from Bettiah railway station, has turned many heads by accepting alms through digital payments.

Some pictures of Raju Patel have prompted some chatter on the micro-blogging site. The photos show Patel showing a card with a QR code that he wears around his neck. Several passengers can be seen paying Patel digitally through the QR code. “I accept digital payments, it’s enough to get the work done & fill my stomach,” Raju Patel told.

“Raju Patel, a beggar in Bettiah, goes digital; accepts PhonePe & puts a QR code around his neck,” read the caption of the post.

The post has amassed over 5,000 likes and tons of reactions. Netizens, however, were divided regarding the matter. While some found the matter innovative, others termed it as the digitalisation of poverty.
