New Delhi, May 21:

About a third of operations will be allowed when domestic flights resume on Monday, the civil aviation ministry said while releasing SOPs for flying in the time of coronavirus.

The ministry has said vulnerable persons, including the elderly, pregnant women and passengers with health issues should avoid air travel.

Some rules are:

No physical check-in at airport counters

Only those passengers with confirmed web check-in can enter the airport

Airlines should adhere to the lower and upper limits of fares prescribed by government during the pandemic

Passengers must have Aarogya Setu

Passengers will be required to wear mask

No meal services on board

Only one check-in bag will be allowed

No newspaper or magazine on board

Passengers should report at least two hours before departure

Passengers cannot travel if they stay in a containment zone

Those who fly despite not being eligible will face penal action.

At the Airport:

Passengers must have mask on

Passenger should go through thermal screening

The passengers should show status of Aarogya Setu to staff

If they don’t have Aarogya Setu, they need to download it right there

Children below 14 don’t need the App.

An electronic receipt will be sent to passenger for baggage

Single bag policy in the initial phase

Circles, square or tensor barrier to ensure physical distancing.

Passengers to complete check-in and baggage dop-off at least 60 minutes before flight
