Srinagar, Jan 05: An encounter broke out between militants and security forces in the Chotigam area of South Kashmir’s district Shopian on Friday night.
The gun battle started when a joint search party of police and CRPF came under fire in the area.
The police said encounter started at Chotigam area of Shopian district. Shopian Police, Army & CRPF are on the job. Further details shall follow.
