Former PM Manmohan Singh was on Sunday evening admitted to the AIIMS hospital after he complained of chest pain and uneasiness. He is now stable.

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was admitted to the AIIMS on Sunday night after he complained of chest pain and uneasiness. Doctors have said Manmohan Singh is in a stable condition and under the care of a team of the cardiothoracic centre of AIIMS.
Manmohan Singh was admitted to AIIMS for observation and investigation after he developed a febrile reaction or fever-like symptoms after he was given a new medication.
The veteran Congress leader has fever and he is being investigated to rule out other causes of fever. Sources have said he is being provided care as needed.
Manmohan Singh, who is 87-year-old, was admitted to AIIMS on Sunday evening when hospital officials said he was in a stable condition.
His parameters were also fine while doctors kept him under observation after he complained of uneasiness. In 2009, Manmohan Singh underwent a successful coronary bypass surgery at the AIIMS.
After he was admitted to the hospital on Sunday, several leaders expressed concerns over his health.
Manmohan Singh, a senior leader of the opposition Congress, is currently a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan. He was the prime minister of the UPA government between 2004 and 2014.
Last week he attended a meeting of the top Congress leadership along with Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in which they discussed the coronavirus situation with the chief ministers of Congress-ruled states.
