GANDERBAL, 30th OCTOBER, 2025: Continuing its special drive against absconders, J&K Police District Ganderbal achieved a significant breakthrough by apprehending 02 long-time fugitives who had been evading arrest for the past 13 years.
The arrested persons have been identified as; Mudasir Ahmad War, son of Nazir Ahmad War, resident of Batpora Sopore, and Mushtaq Ahmad Wani, son of Ali Mohammad Wani, resident of Lolpora Kunzar Tangmarg. Both were wanted in connection with FIR No. 34/2013 U/S 392, 511, 34 RPC and FIR No. 17/2013 U/S 366, 109 RPC.
Acting on the directions of SSP Ganderbal Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS, a dedicated police team led by SHO PS Safapora SI Gulzar Hussain, after sustained and meticulous efforts, succeeded in tracing the duo from Bangalore and Maharashtra, where they were arrested. Their apprehension brings an end to over more than a decade of evasion and ensures that they face the due course of law.
This successful operation once again underscores the commitment and determination of Ganderbal Police to bring offenders to justice, reaffirming that crime has no expiry and no offender can remain beyond the reach of law.
