Doda, March 23: Department of Zoology in collaboration with Department of EVS and Botany under the aegis of IQAC governmemt Degree College Doda organized an awareness lecture on World Water Day 2023 with the theme of “Accelerating the changes to solve the water and sanitation crisis ” under the president ship of Principal GDC Doda Attar Singh Kotwal.
The program began with the introductory speech and welcome address by Tasir Sharief, HOD Botany.
He impressed upon the water conservation and role to be played by every body.The keynote speaker was Sumit Kotwal HOD EVS. He stressed upon the student community to act as an ambassador for the dissemination of message among the masses regarding the importance of water and its conservation for sustainable goal. Ajaz Ahmed Wani Head Dept.of Zoology (IQAC Coordinator) in his adress stressed the students community to make use of precious resources like water judiciously for human betterment. It’s not water that is getting lost from the planet rather it is the availablity of water that is varying across the planet and it is the point where management and care is needed to be inducted.The other faculty members present were Dr.Neelam Saba ,Imteyaz Ahmed and Munish Kumar. Program ended with the vote of thanks by Prof. Younis Rashid Asst.Ptofessor in Botany
