The Government of India has done its best in the current times by stressing on the strategies to contain the Coronavirus in the country that has already shaken the whole world. The guidelines outlined by the ministry of home affairs on Tuesday is a positive step in the right direction.

Its essence needs to be understood in clear terms that how this strategy is going to work . Looking at the things minutely , it would reveal that there is a multi-pronged strategy in what appears to be a two –pronged one . First, the focus is on taking strict measures in enforcing the lockdown that is must for saving lives in the areas designated as hotspots. These were determined by the number of he positive cases in a particular area whether in the urban centres or rural areas.

This will bring certain hardships . These are tough times and the hardships accompany such times . But it is to be weighed in as to why all this is being done . This cost has to be paid for saving lives and that is the most critical objective at the moment . The government has not chosen or selected these hotspots on its own . Something happened in the areas – the positive cases were detected and hospitalised.

Second part of relaxations in the non-hotspot areas should not be measured as a balancing act. There is no balancing act in such situations. Here, too, the idea is to save lives . That is to generate the activity that could build the essentials of life . The movement of cargo from one state to the other and opening of all essential services should be considered as a measured step by the government.

Now, it all depends on how the people take it and help the Centre in overcoming the difficult situation .

As far as J&K is concerned, it is a good news for the Union Territory . This is a boost to the horticulture and agriculture sector . Both the regions stand to benefit, despite the fact that J&K has 90 hot spots , and there is a steady rise in the cases. But, at the same time , it is important to note that the recoveries too have picked up pace.
