Gunmen looted cash of over Rs 60 lakh from a bank van in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Thursday morning.
The incident occurred near Tak Masjid Shopian.
Sources said that a bank van (JKO1P-3839) was on way to an ATM to deliver the cash when some suspected masked gunmen riding a motorcycle intercepted it and decamped with cash.
Unconfirmed reports said that over rupees 60 lakhs were looted. Sources said that the gunmen managed to escape from the spot .
Police have launched a massive man hunt for the gunmen.
