‘Urges Govt to seek help of Indian Army to rescue trapped tribals from snowbound areas’

REASI, OCTOBER 20, 2022 : Senior Apni Party leader and Former MLA Gulabgarh, Haji Mumatz Ahmed Khan has demanded immediate relief and compensation for the nomads in Dhoks.

In a statement to the press, Mumtaz Ahmed Khan said that the tribal community putting up in upper reaches including Khour, Ladh, Dagantop, Sildhar, Ranjati, Khanari, Kataji, Angrala, Tuksan, Sonabag, Dewal, Bharmidhar, Sarsote and adjoining areas of Gulabgarh constituency have suffered huge losses with regard to the live stock.

“These people have suffered losses due to sudden rainfall and snowfall in the upper reaches of Reasi district and accordingly the Govt should provide them relief and compensation to the losses they have suffered,” he said.

He further said that the Govt should send the teams of revenue department, health and veterinary department to provide on the spot treatment to the injured cattles, and tribals. And the revenue officials shall be ordered to make assessment of the losses.

“The tribals affected with the inclement weather conditions should be provided financial support and immediate medical care,” he added.

He further said that the civil administration should take the help of the Indian Army to rescue the trapped people from the snowbound areas.
