Jammu, January 06: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to visit Jammu on January 9 to assess the security situation situation of J&K ahead of Lok Sabha polls in next three months’ time.
It will be a second such review, in the wake of the recent terror attacks , especially in the border region of Rajouri and Poonch last month. Earlier, he had reviewed the security situation on January 2, during which he called for speedy end to terrorism in J&K
The January 9 visit is also having yet another objective- to assess the political climate in J&K, focusing on preparedness of BJP , for the polls Panchayat, ULB and Lok Sabha polls are to be held, and apart from that there would be an exploration of possibility of holding of Assembly polls .
