Jammu/Samba: Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana organised an informative and engaging Workshop on Phonetics and Communication Skills for its teaching staff with the objective of strengthening pronunciation, speaking abilities, and effective classroom communication. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Harish Raina, an eminent personality coach with over 15 years of rich experience in the field of training and development. Mr. Raina has trained more than one lakh teachers across the country and is currently working as Regional Manager with Prachi India Pvt. Ltd.

The programme began with presenting a bouquet and memento as a token of gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Harish Raina by the Principal of the school, Mr. Gaurav Charak. The workshop was graced by the presence of Mr. Akashdeep Raina, Academic Incharge, Mr. Parsidh Singh, Hr. Sec. Incharge, Ms. Namrata Sharma, High Wing Incharge, Ms. Vandana Sharma, Primary Wing Incharge and Ms. Aparna Billowria, Pre-Primary Incharge, who encouraged teachers to actively participate and apply the learning in their classrooms.

 The session covered essential aspects such as knowledge of English alphabets and letters, correct pronunciation, speaking sounds, 20 vowel sounds, and 24 consonant sounds. Mr. Raina also shared interesting and quick techniques to learn English sounds and speak confidently, making the workshop highly interactive and practical. He brought valuable insights and practical expertise to the session. The session included live demonstrations, guided practice, repetition drills, group activities, and interactive exercises, which helped teachers overcome common pronunciation errors and gain confidence in spoken English. The resource person enumerated innovative and quick learning techniques, making the process of mastering phonetic sounds simple, enjoyable, and effective. Teachers actively participated throughout the session and expressed that the workshop would greatly help them improve classroom delivery, student interaction, and overall teaching effectiveness, especially in language-based subjects.

In his address, the Principal, Mr. Gaurav Charak, emphasized the importance of such professional development programmes in enhancing teaching effectiveness and overall academic growth. The workshop concluded on a positive and enriching note, leaving the teachers motivated and better equipped with phonetic and communication skills.
