Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan may soon be meeting his successor – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss national issues and flatten the acrimony that has caused chaotic conditions across the country.
The moves for the meeting started after Imran Khan dialed down his anger following clashes between his supporters and the police at his Zaman Park, Lahore residence in which both sides suffered injuries and made several cities look as battlefields . The situation had come to such a pass that Imran had sought intervention of the establishment ( read army) , and the army chief Gen. Asim Munir had advised the institutions to foster synergy .
Pakistani people reeling from grave economic crisis and suffering high rate of inflation were getting aghast by the political rivalries and showdown between the two major political forces in the country.
The PTI is now asking for timing and venue for the talks .
