January 10 : Inauguration of Two Days State Level Management Development Programme (MDP) for Nursing Professionals /Tutors and M.sc Nursing Students of Govt. and Private Nursing Colleges/ GNM/ANMT Schools of Doda, Ramban and Kistwar, Organized By Academy of Hospital Administration (AHA), India in Collaboration with Government Medical College Doda w.e.f 10th and 11th January 2023.

Dr. Yashpal Sharma Director (Coord) New Medical Colleges, Paramedical & Nursing colleges J&K (National President AHA India) was the chief guest of this inauguration of the training programme along with Proff Dr Noor Ali Principal GMC & AH Doda; Dr Yudhveer Singh Medical Supdt GMC Hospital Doda, and Prof. (Dr) Tariq Azad Professor GMC Doda present on the stage.

Dr Yudhveer Singh Medical Supdt GMC Hospital Doda, presented the welcome address and told about activites being done by AHA Jammu Chapter, Mr. M. Sadiq Khan Mass Education Information Officer (National Trainer) handled the stage and presented vote of thanks.

The participants are from Doda, Ramban and Kistwar from Govt Medical College Hospital Doda, and Hospitals from districts of Doda, Ramban and Kistwar under Directorate of Health Services Jammu. Total more than 125 participants are taking part in the training, besides students etc. Resource persons and moderators of sessions are from all over Jammu.

Dr Yashpal Sharma Director Coordination new GMC’s & Nursing Institutes (National President AHA India) in his address said that Academy of Hospital Administration (AHA) is an autonomous professional organization consisting of highly qualified and experienced Experts and faculty in hospital & health systems operations management, public health and multispecialty facilities planning & architectural designing doyens, Quality management in health care delivery systems (NABH, NQAS & NABL) experts, public health strategists etc. AHA has a large panel of academia, experts in Bio-Medical Engineers, Health IT professionals, Telemedicine, Medical & Wellness tourism, Bio-Medical Waste Management, Lean & Six Sigma, and other allied fields in health related domain.

AHA India has been conducting Management Development Programs (MDPs) for health care professionals since its inception in 1987. The Nursing professionals are the corner stone of any quality related programme in health care organization. Keeping this in mind, nursing excellence standards have been framed by NABH with a view to lay down the guidelines for evaluating the nursing services being provided by health care organization.

In J&K AHA India has organized till date one each 5 days Management Development programme( MDP) for medical officers of jammu as well as Kashmir. AHA has also organised two days training programme of nurses 2 in jammu and 1 in kashmir. AHA has also organised one day training programmes of nurses 3 in jammu and 1 in kashmir
