Jammu Kashmir Workers Party strongly opposes the move of Pakistan Government to provisionally grant the provincial status to Gilgit Baltistan. The region is an integral part of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir which is irrevocably a legal and rightful part of India.
We know that this is a tactic of Pakistan through which it is trying to imitate the Indian action of 5th August 2019 by means of which Article 370 and thereby the special status of Jammu and Kashmir was revoked.
It is a well known fact that it was Pakistan that invaded J&K in the first place, and violated the standstill agreement. This shows that Pakistan has always wanted to occupy the Kashmiri land and expose the Kashmiri population to exploitation and abuse.
The move of giving the status of a provision to the region of Gilgit Baltistan yet again proves that Pakistan is no well wisher of Kashmiri population and is playing a long term game for embezzling the property and pride of Kashmiri people.
The Jammu Kashmir Workers Party demands global action against the move as Pakistan is trying to change the status quo on the territory which it has been occupying for last 70 years. Jammu and Kashmir Workers Party demands the territory back to its rightful owner which is India.
Jammu Kashmir Workers Party also expresses solidarity with the helpless populations of Gilgit Baltistan who are being stolen of their exclusive rights over their country India’s land by Pakistan. Jammu Kashmir Workers Party would continue to support the cause of the people of GIlgit Baltistan who are in agony right now.
Jammu Kashmir Workers Party prays for the merger of the lost land back to where it belongs and hopes that Indian government takes strong action in the direction of this long cherished dream of an integrated India.
