Jammu, December 15, 2025: The JK UT Padel Open 2025 concluded on a high note at Champions Arena, Jammu, with Day 3 witnessing high-intensity matches, closely fought finals, and an engaging prize distribution ceremony. The tournament underlined the rapid growth of padel in the Union Territory and reinforced Jammu’s emergence as a key centre for the sport.

The tournament was organised by the Padel Sports Association of Jammu & Kashmir, affiliated with the Padel Association of India (PAI). A total of 45 doubles teams participated, with players registering from both the Jammu and Kashmir provinces. Over 65 matches were played across three days, from December 13 to 15, 2025, highlighting the scale, competitiveness, and organisational depth of the event.

Competition was held across men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles categories, with players showcasing high levels of skill, tactical awareness, teamwork, and sportsmanship, drawing strong spectator interest throughout the tournament.

In the Mixed Doubles Final, Deepak Singh Chib and Dr Khushboo Fatima claimed the title, while Sahil Bakshi and Saniya Mahajan finished runners-up.
The Women’s Doubles title was secured by Wafa Haji and Suhani Kour, with Saniya Mahajan and Shuchitta Bakshi finishing second.
The Men’s Doubles Final proved to be a crowd-pleaser as Deepak Singh Chib and Vikram Gupta defeated Shivang Mahajan and Mandar Mehta 6–5, 5–6, 6–2 in a thrilling three-set encounter.

Individual honours saw Deepak Singh named Player of the Tournament (Men) and Suhani Kour receiving Player of the Tournament (Women).
The Emerging Player awards were presented to Dilbar Singh (Men) and Kyra Nagpal (Women).

The event featured a prize pool exceeding ₹1.25 lakh, including cash awards and gifts. The Prize Distribution Ceremony was attended by Gaurav Gupta, BJP Spokesperson, as Special Guest, and Sajad Khaliq Bhat, SSP Security, as Guest of Honour. Other dignitaries included Manik Batra, President ASSOCHAM J&K and President J&K Hockey Association, and Gautam Daluja of the Daluja Group, JK Public School.

Appreciation was extended to President Shivang Mahajan, Vice President Sahil Bakshi, and Secretary General Puneet Sharma for their leadership and dedication towards building a sustainable sporting ecosystem in Jammu & Kashmir. Speakers echoed the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of “Khel se Kaushal, Khel se Vikas”, emphasising the role of sports in youth empowerment, discipline, and holistic development.

The tournament was supported by One Science as the Head Sponsor, with HEAD Padel as the Co-Sponsor, whose contributions played a vital role in the successful execution of the event. Organisers noted that Champions Arena is the first and only dedicated padel facility in the Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory, marking a significant milestone for the sport in the region.
