Srinagar, April 25: King of Bollywood, Sharukh Khan has arrived in Srinagar after a gap of 11 years for a film shoot in world famous tourist resort Sonamarg.
The B-town superstar will be in a lead role in Raj Kumar Hirani’s “Dunki” alongside Tapasee Pannu.
Hirani is one of the most successful director in Bollywood, who is a four-time national awardee and has 11 filmfare awards to his name. It is for the first time that King Khan will be collaborating with Hirani, as the later has worked with Aamir Khan and Sanjay Dutt in past and has remained successful.
Shahrukh Khan last worked in Kashmir for his film “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” in 2012. He arrived in Kashmir on Monday and headed towards Sonamarg where he will be staying for a couple of days for shoot before returning to Srinagar.
The film director Rajkumar Hirani and his production team visited Sonamarg resort in Ganderbal district last week. Source said that the crew visited Thajiwas glacier for reconnaissance on Monday before the shooting schedule. Hirani’s latest Dunki is said to be a comic film. “The film goes through different areas around the world and finally comes back to India. The film is expected to be released in December this year,” said a source.
