Srinagar, January 22: A number of JKPS officers who were fronted from Dy SPs to SPs have expressed their gratitude to Dilbag Singh, during whose tenure as DGP J&K, the process of their promotion was initiated.
Dilbag Singh served as J&K Police Chief from September 2018 to October 2023, during which he initiated several police welfare measures. He always pushed for the timely promotion of all the ranks in the force.The JKPS officers who were looking for their promotion for quite some time saw a ray of hope when DGP Dilbag Singh took up their case at all levels. His efforts saw fruition when the Government announced promotion of these officers last week.
Some of the promoted officers have written to Dilbag Singh , expressing their gratitude to him in lofty terms.
One of them has written an emotional letter to him, which reads, “
Kindly accept our (& my personal) heartfelt gratitude for being a huge pillar of support as a DGP, taking lead in the initiative that ultimately resulted in promotion of JKPS officers in higher grades.
We owe this to you sir.
You have been a true leader and a true General, a sagacious, wise, brave and bold leader who led us in the most challenging times and ensured absolutely smooth sailing of the ship.
I truly love you and respect you from the core of my heart and so do hundreds of JKP men, as far as I know & get the feedback.
We miss you sir.
May the tons of happiness be always in your way and may you long long enough to celebrate the wedding of your great grand children.”
