A CSR Initiative by LG Electronics in Association with Saksham Bharti Foundation and J&K Thalassemia Welfare Society
Jammu, Feb, 25: LG Electronics, in collaboration with Saksham Bharti Foundation and *J&K Thalassemia Welfare Society, successfully organized a *Mega Blood Donation Drive at MBS College, Jammu. This initiative aimed to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation and encourage community participation in saving lives.
The event witnessed an *overwhelming response, with 80 students and faculty members coming forward to donate blood, contributing to this noble cause. This initiative is part of *LG Electronics’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, reinforcing its commitment to societal well-being.
The drive was efficiently organized and managed by *Mukteesh Sharma and Akhil Raina, representing the *Saksham Bharti Foundation and LG Electronics. Their dedicated efforts ensured the smooth execution of the campaign, creating awareness and fostering a spirit of social responsibility among the participants.
Dr. *Rubina Kasaur, *Blood Transfusion Officer (BTO) from SMGS Hospital, along with her expert team, was present at the event to oversee and operate the entire blood donation process. Their medical expertise ensured the safety and well-being of all donors, making the drive a well-coordinated and successful initiative.
Speaking on the occasion, representatives from the organizing committee emphasized the significance of voluntary blood donation, particularly for patients suffering from Thalassemia and other blood-related disorders. The collected blood units will be used to support individuals in need, ensuring timely medical assistance.
