Srinagar, May 25: PDP president Mehbooba Mufti , candidate for Anantnag- Rajouri parliamentary constituency staged a protest against police for arresting party’s polling agents on Friday.
She alleged that her party workers have been detained by police last night without any reason on rhyme. “ This shows that the Government is scared of her and her party, and has planned 1987 type rigging .” The 1987 Assembly polls are traced as root of terrorism in Kashmir as the youth got disillusioned with the vote and its credibility.
Mehbooba said if the Government is so afraid of her, it should have told her, she would not have contested the polls.
