DGP extends gratitude, says it is fitting tribute to the martyrs and the eminent personalities

The Director General of Police, J&K, Dilbag Singh has extended his gratitude to Hon’ble Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Hon’ble Lt. Governor Jammu & Kashmir Manoj Sinha, Union Home Secretary A.K.Bhalla Chief Secretary J&K Dr.A.K Metha, , Home secretary J&K Shaleen Kabra and other officers for naming the government schools,colleges,roads in Jammu and Kashmir after the martyred J&K police, Security forces personnel and eminent personalities.

The DGP had said that it is a wonderful initiative by the government which would serve as the morale booster for the forces fighting terrorism here. He said that by the initiative the school children would learn about the supreme sacrifices of the martyrs and work and life of eminentpersonalities. He said that it would immortalise the brave hearts who sacrificed their lives while protecting sovereignty and integrity of the Nation. He said that the initiative would give special feelings to the family members of the martyrs and would serve as everlasting tribute to the martyrs.

The DGP has also complemented the team of Police Headquarters who worked for this cause for the last two years.
Pertinent to mention that Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued an order naming 76 government schools,colleges and roads across Jammu and Kashmir after the martyrs and eminent personalities.
