Bank Unions stages strong protest against the Finance Ministry’s move on tabling a bill in the ensuing winter session of Parliament which will pave way for the privatization of 2 more Public Sector Banks. Canara Bank Officers Association’s regional secretary JK UT Sandeep Gupta strongly criticized the Govt move on selling the PSU’s in the hands of the pvt sector.

He further stated that such a move will cost dearer to the common man as the cost of Banking transaction will rise and also, a common man will be deprived of small loans like agriculture lending to small and marginal farmers,PM Savnidi,DRI,Education Loans and MUDRA loans etc ,he also cautioned that such a harsh move will be detrimental for the student community( aspiring for Banking jobs) especially from the economically and socially backward sector as PSU Banks have robusts recruitment policies which r not available in the pvt sector.As such Mr Gupta appealed to the Govt to withdraw tabling the bill in the interest of common public
