Srinagar, October 10: Omar Abdullah was elected as National Conference legislature Party leader on Thursday, clearing decks for his becoming first Chief Minister of the UT of J&K.
The legislature party met at party headquarters in Srinagar on Thursday, in which all elected MLAs of the party attended.
Omar was elected unanimously as leader of the legislature party. He is likely to stake claim for forming the government.
