Jammu, December 21: The guiding Director at NMIMS, Chandigarh, revolves around “Future and futuristic technology aided by artificial intelligence with a fusion of contemporary academics,” as articulated by Dr. Jaskiran Kaur, Campus Director, and Mr. Burzeen Bhathena, Director (Marketing), pioneering the path for the first private university nestled in the scenic city of Chandigarh.

Nestled amid the Shivalik foothills, the expansive campus, enveloped by lush greenery, is presently undergoing development. Although it presently does not offer a wide array of courses, NMIMS Chandigarh has been delivering specialised programs in Engineering, Law, and Commerce for over three years. The inaugural batch, armed with the latest knowledge, is set to graduate next year, prepared to excel in the fiercely competitive external landscape.

Dr. Kaur underscored the institution’s forward-looking approach, stating, “We are dedicated to the future to the extent that whenever a significant technological advancement emerges, we endeavour to integrate it into our curriculum.” Speaking during a virtual press conference with Jammu media, she highlighted the incorporation of Chat GPT and Artificial Intelligence into NMIMS academics, setting the university apart from institutions grappling with bureaucratic impediments and academic stagnation.

“While many institutions are constrained by bureaucratic procedures and a lack of innovation, NMIMS has accelerated its progress, continually assessing industry requirements and promptly embracing pertinent advancements,” said Dr. Kaur.

Mr. Burzeen Bhathena affirmed, “We have standardised the quality of education across all our campuses nationwide.” He detailed the expansion plans, disclosing that, in addition to the existing campuses in Mumbai, Shirpur, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Indore, Navi Mumbai, Dhule, and Chandigarh, two more NMIMS campuses are in progress in Noida near Delhi and Ahmedabad, ensuring a pan-India presence.

Dr. Kaur expounded that all programs at the campus leverage AI technology and application-based tools. Currently operating three schools—the School of Technology Management and Engineering, the School of Commerce, and the School of Law—the university offers six programs designed to nurture leaders at the forefront of technological advancements.

During the virtual tour, Dr. Kaur and Mr. Bhathena showcased student-perfected 3-D printing technology, state-of-the-art Smart Board-equipped classrooms, a moot court resembling an actual legal setting for law students’ practice, and a well-equipped library featuring a digital repository with access to thousands of globally sourced books and journals. The campus also features a high-end cafeteria catering to students’ culinary needs. The advanced features of the auditorium, emphasised during the tour, are intended exclusively for cultural activities and are not intended for movie promotions or screenings, as clarified by the Director.
