Anantnag, April 18: Since Srinagar administration decided not to allow Eid prayers in Eidgah Srinagar, similar decision has been taken for Anantnag also.
District administration Anantnag has decided not to allow people to offer prayers at Eidgah Anantnag.
Mamagment committee of Jamia Masjid Committee Anantnag said that the authorities have not allowed Eid Prayers at Anantnag’s central Eidgah citing the law and order situation.
Last year authorities had allowed Prayers on Eid-ul-Azha and after prayers some people held protest demonstration which has forced the administration not to allow prayers this year.
After this decision, the Jamia Masjid management committee has said that the Eid prayers will be offered at 8:30 A.M at Jamia Masjid.
