Expresses concern over cancellation of Letter of Permission from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute for Medical Studies, Katra

SAMBA:-Apni Party Provincial President, Jammu, and Former Minister, S. Manjit Singh has strongly condemned the cancellation of Letter of Permission that granted Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute (Katra) of Medical Excellence for starting MBBS course.
As per a statement, the Former Minister raised alarm over the hate and divisive politics that has snatched a priceless medical institution from the people of Jammu.
He condemned the elements who politicised the medical students for their gains, and now they are celebrating the cancellation of the licence that is against the interest of Jammu.
“These celebrations remained how statehood was snatched, and some elements celebrated the downgrading of the historic Jammu and Kashmir state into a Union Territory following its bifurcation,” he said, recalling how the Dogra Military under Maharajas fought battles and extended the boundary of erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir.
Expressing deep shock over revival of political rhetoric of separate Jammu State, the Former Minister came down heavily on the elements trying to disturb peace, and further divide Jammu from Kashmir, denting the glorious history of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that these politicians from a political party are bent upon division and creating differences among the communities for vote bank politics that is dangerous for all of the people of Jammu as well as Kashmir.
“One can’t imagine Jammu without Kashmir. They are a unit, and any one advocating separation of Jammu from Kashmir will be opposed strongly,” said Manjit Singh, addressing a meeting at Saror Adda in Samba District.
The meeting was organised by Provincial Vice President, Jammu, Saleem Alam. Block President Bari Brahmana, Babu Ram Bhagat, among other active leaders, and workers participated in the meeting.
In his address, he expressed anguish over the hate politics that has pushed Jammu away from development, employment, tourism, industrial hub, and hotel business.
He denounced the divisive politics, and asked the people to support the Apni Party so that secularism stays protected, and the struggle to regain full statehood is gained for J&K without further division.
