Mayor Eric Adams has announced that Diwali will be public school holiday in New York city from next year.
In his message on the eve of Diwali, Festival of Lights celebrated by Hindus across the world , the Mayor said that since there is so much darkness in our lives , there is need for lights all around and within ourselves.
