Doda, April 19: One boy was killed and another got injured in a mysterious blast in Simbol village in Mughal Maidan tehsil of Kishtwar district today.
The dead was identified as Hafiz Shabir Ahmed (20) whereas the injured was identified as Muhammad Yaseen (17).
Giving details, police said that the duo, who are brothers, were inside their house when this incident happened. “Immediately after the incident, police rushed to the spot and shifted both of them to hospital in Kishtwar but Shabir Ahmed had died on the spot whereas Yaseen was critically injured,” police said.
The incident has left everyone shocked in the area and it has become talk of the town.
After the incident SSP Kishtwar Khalil Poswal ruled out any militancy angle into the incident.
He said that investigations have begun to ascertain the real cause of the blast.
According to locals the duo had brought a metallic object from the forest area and were trying to break it when it went off and caused a huge sound.
