Srinagar April 6: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested two female drug peddlers and recovered 113 grams of contraband substance from their possession.
The arrest was made at Chellan Boniyar during naka checking in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A Police spokesperson said that Police under the supervision of Shokat Ali-JKPS, SDPO Uri assisted by DySP Prob. Kubra Nazir, SHO PS Boniyar arrested 2 female Drug Peddlers namely Fahmeeda D/O Mohammad Subhan Ahanger R/O Limber & Nazira Begum W/O Shabir Ahmad Raja R/O Bimyat during naka checking at Chellan Boniyar who were coming from Bimyar towards Chellan and upon seeing the naka party tried to flee from the spot but were apprehended tactfully.
“During their personal search 113 grams of contraband Charas like substance was recovered from them and were taken into custody immediately”, he said.
Police said that Case under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Boniyar and investigations set in motion.
