Doda, April 26: Continuing its drive to tighten the noose of drug peddlers under operation “SANJEEVANI”, Doda Police has arrested two notorious drug peddlers from Gandoh area of the district.
These peddlers have been identified as Muhammad Huzaif a resident of Gowari Tehsil and Anayatullah Khan of Sanwara Tehsil of Gundoh sub-divison of Doda district.
Giving details, Doda Police said that on the receipt of specific information that both the peddlers have been selling narcotic drugs among the youths of the area and the duo were carrying cannabis like substance with them for selling purpose.
Acting upon this information, a police party of Police Station Gandoh led by Station House Office, Inspector Vikram Singh intercepted the duo while they were on the way from rom Bhangrow Nalla towards Gandoh. “From their possession, cannabis like substance was recovered from their possession in the presence of Executive Magistrate 1st Class Gandoh,” police said.
In this connection, a case bearing FIR No. 32/2023 under relevant section has been registered at Police Station Gandoh and investigation of the case has begun.
