Srinagar, April 6: Police today foiled another narco-terrorism attempt when they arrested two cross border smugglers and recovered over 11 kgs of heroin from their possession.
This high grade heroin has international market value of Rs 70 crore.
Giving details, ADGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that Rs 11,82,500 in cash seized was also seized from the duo namely Sajjad Badana and Zaheer Tanch of Karnah Kupwara. FIR under NDPS Act has been registered at Rajbagh police station, he said. “Drugs had come from Pakistan,” the ADGP Kashmir said.
Security forces have been active in foiling any attempt of cross border narco-terrorism and this consignment is a big blow to narcotics smugglers.
