Jammu, March 13: The Ministry of Home Affairs ( MHA) decided to undertake security review of top VIPs across the country , informed sources told JK News Today.
This step has been warranted by a bid on the life of senior J&K leader and former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah in Jammu on Wednesday evening.
Farooq had a narrow escape as the would be assailant came within the point blank range.
Sources said that the Centre provides top grade security to at least 400 VIPs across states and UTs. Many of them are in J&K because of its terrorism hit status.
