Prof Sundeep K Pandita today took over as the new Director of the UGC – Human Resource Development Centre ( HRDC) University of Jammu.
He succeedes outgoing Director Prof Rahul Gupta who after a very successful two year tenure has been elevated as Dean of Mathematical Science.
An MSc gold medalist in Geology and P.hd Prof Sundeep Pandita brings along an experience of thirty years of research and
teaching to the HRDC.
An acclaimed scholar and academic administrator Prof Pandita also holds the Position of Director Disaster Management Centre of Jammu University since 2011.
He has previously also remained Co-chairman and Chairman of the campus cultural committee.
Prof Pandita is Jammu University’s Institutional Coordinator for Ministry of Human Resource and Development’s Scheme for Promotion of Academic and Research Collaboration ( SPARC) and also the Nodel Officer, technical team for admission of International Students to Jammu University.
A member College Development Council,JU and Vice Chancellor’s nominee to the Selection Committees under Directorate of College Development Council Prof Sundeep Pandita has also remained
Member Board of Studies Faculty of Sciences and Geology University of Jammu.
A recipient of Young Sedimentologist Award and Young Scientist Award Prof Pandita has published six books and 57 research papers in National and International Journal’s of repute
He has also undertaken 7 major research projects and guided twelve research scholars in their doctoral P.hd theses and four students in M.Phil .
