Srinagar, October 25 : Apni Party president Altaf Bukhari has given a clarion call to his party workers to understand what the people want and how their grievances can be redressed.
“ We are a vibrant party and our strength lies in our reach to the people , and highlighting their grievances is our prime duty,” Altaf Bukhari said while presiding over a meeting of party leaders and functionaries in Anantnag on Tuesday.
He was talking in the context of the problems that people were facing in the absence of an elected government. “ The people are desperate as they have no means to spotlight their difficulties. They have some basic issues concerning their livelihood and basic needs – some are reeling from absence of electricity and farmers are having their own issues”
“ We have a responsibility to listen to them and carry it to officials and get these redressed.”
The meeting was attended among others by senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir, General Secretary Rafi Mir.
