Jammu, March 14: Jammu and Kashmir BJP chief Ravinder Raina today clarified on nonpayment of his electricity bill due to which the power connection of his Gandhinagar home was disconnected.
He said that due to typing error the bill amount was shown high but after rectifying the error the actual amount was paid.
Raina, however, didn’t inform what was the total amount and how much he paid.
He claimed that it was a typing error by the power development department and anyone can make mistakes.
Besides Raina, power connection of the former Chief Minister and leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad was also disconnected. So far he hasn’t clarified on the issue. The PDD officials had claimed that Azad, Raina and another former BJP MLA Neelam Langeh had to pay over Rs 2 Lakh and due to nonpayment of the amount, their power connections were snapped.
