Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohammad Bin Salman is likely to visit India in mid-November to meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi .
According to a report in The Hindu , the high-profile visit is expected to last few hours on November 14 , and both MBS and Modi are expected to depart for Bali, Indonesia , to attend G-20 summit there on November 15-16.
The Hindu also reported that External affairs Minister S. Jaishankar , who visited Riyadh in September for bilateral talks , had conveyed Modi’s invitation to MbS, asking him to visit at an early date.
The visit will convey a powerful message to the US that India and Saudi Arabia stand together in their opposition to sanctions against Russia in the wake of the Russian conflict and also to Pakistan that the Islamic world leader is having coordinal relations with India . Of late, there have been strains in the relations of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia over a host of issues , including the financial aid that the kingdom had been extending to Islamabad.
